Races run from our waterfront out into the inner islands with finish line within islands. Race maps provided
The primary rule of the race series is that racers conduct themselves with safety as the priority throughout the race, which includes following all rules of the river, being aware that the race is taking place on shared waterways and that right of way is to always be yielded to other vessels in these waterways.
• All races will start at Harbourfront Canoe & Kayak Centre. • 6:30 and 7:00 race start times are approximations. Each race will start around the time when the ferry leaves the island. This is to ensure that racers are not racing to beat the ferry. • At the finish line of each race, two race staff will record racer/kayak numbers as the kayaks touch ground. Standings and points for each division will be calculated post event and displayed on a race results web page. • Following races that do not end at Harbourfront, racers will be responsible for paddling back to Harbourfront. This offers them the opportunity to cool down and enjoy some social chatting following the race.
